Occupational Therapy

REACH YOUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY (OT)

Occupational therapists (OT) are health care professionals who help provide solutions for individuals to participate in activities of daily living. Stroke survivors, people with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and mental illness, children or adults with syndromes (i.e. Down syndrome), autism, or cerebral palsy are just some examples of people who rely on OTs.

Occupational therapists provide help with:

  • Working in a classroom using adaptive strategies to manage participation and behaviour.
  • Support for adults and children with stroke or ABI to live more independently by changing their environment or finding new ways of helping them participate fully in school or work.
  • Educating and helping clients, educators and other health professionals to find equipment that can help people manage their own affairs.
  • Changing workplace and school environments to help individuals return to work/school and participate fully in typical activities.

We provide treatment services for people requiring Occupational Therapy.
